Greek Mythology Report
Written Report Requirements:
Select one or more Greek Mythological figures to report on.
Write a short one page report on the figure of your choosing.
Include information such as;
Who are they?
What was their name?
What were they said to look like? (Include a picture if you like.)
Where were they said to live?
If they are a god or goddess, what were they the god or goddess of?
What powers were they said to have had?
Were they human, half human, a creature, or a god?
Who are they tied to? Who were their relatives, children, friends, and enemies.
What importance did they have in the Greek Pathos or Mythological stories?
What stories or adventures are they a part of or attributed to?
What are they best known for?
What role if any do they play in today’s world and media?
Include a Bibliography
The Bibliography should include 3 separate sources from which you found the information you used.
Report should be neatly handwritten, or typed.
Typed papers should be in a 12pt Font and double spaced.
Papers may be longer than one page if you wish to include more.
Report should allow you to introduce your chosen character to the class.
Each report will be shared with the class for part of the overall grade.
Oral Report Requirements:
The Oral report will simply be the sharing of your report with the rest of the class.
Using your written report, summarize what you found out about your Mythological Character.
Grading:
The paper will be worth 100 points and will be graded on the amount of information included and the quality of the work. Presenting your report will make up for 25% of the overall grade.

Aphrodite Goddess of love and beauty.
Apollo God of the Sun, music, archery and prophecy.
Ares God of war, murder and bloodshed.
Artemis Goddess of the hunt and the moon.
Athena a Goddess of wisdom, warfare and reason.
Demeter Goddess of fertility, grain, and harvest.
Dionysus God of wine, parties/festivals, madness and merriment.
Eros God of love.
Hades God of the underworld.
Hephaestus God of fire and the forge.
Hera Goddess of marriage, women and childbirth.
Hermes God of flight, thieves, commerce, and travelers. Messenger of the gods.
Hestia Goddess of the hearth, fire and home.
Poseidon God of the sea and horses.
Zeus The king of the gods.
Heracles/Hercules son of Zeus & human mother. Strong adventurer.
Pegasus winged horse used by Perseus on his adventures.
Centaur half man half horse.
Minotaur half man half bull creature.
